It has been a year since you bought your computer and when you woke up this morning to use it, you found it was a little bit sluggish. You tried to call up several applications which you used just yesterday but to your dismay, they also showed a snail-paced run. If this unfortunate circumstance happened to you, then maybe it is time for you to de-fragment your hard disk.

What is a hard disk defrag anyway? Is it really necessary? In order to answer these questions, it is essential to understand the inner workings of your hard drives and how they store and use data. Your hard disk tries to receive instructions from your CPU on whether the user would want to save some files or whether you wanted to install or uninstall an application. Since it did not occur to earlier developers to construct the hard drive in a way that it will organize data more efficiently, it writes to the first available spot on the drive that it sees. As you continue to save, install, and uninstall files or applications, these tend to get reorganized over and over again, making them fragmented.

Once your computer tries to load a program, the hard drive tries to grab a part of the application from the outer rim of the hard disk platter, another from the middle, and maybe some files on the inner rim. Then, the drive reorganizes the files it grabbed before sending it back to the CPU. The total effect of these actions would be the slowing down of your computer.

Running a hard disk defrag program will put the pieces back together again and allows the files to be organized in similar groupings so that applications and files gets to be loaded more rapidly. Defragging your hard drive once every two or three months is an ideal practice for an average user. However, if you are the type of user who install and uninstall a lot, then the time between your last hard disk defrag to the next must be a little bit shorter.

After performing a hard disk defrag, you will immediately notice an increase in system performance, particularly in the way your files or applications load up. This just goes to show that the files and applications that reside on the hard drive has been put together and properly reorganized one more time so that it will not give the drive a hard time in looking for data parts to be reassembled before loading them up.

Cage also begins falling in love with Yelena, who happens to be Yorgi’s girlfriend. If you love action, and suspense, you’ll love XXX!!!

Received this system from LukieGames. It brought back alot of memories playing Zelda! The pricing was great. And you can still get all the old games for it!

I would like to mention… Be sure to get one with Composite plug (red, white, yellow), because some come with the old RF Adapter cable (like a cable tv coax plug) that won’t work with newer TV’s. About half come with the Composite and half with RF. If it comes with the RF plug, then you can buy the Composite plug that fits both the SNES and N64 for about (from LukieGames) that works great on new TV’s! Just wanted to let you know so that you don’t get excited about it when it arrives and then find that you need a different plug, like I did!
